Uttam Gulab Jamun

Ingredients:
- 100-120 ML water/milk.
- Appropriate amount of oil/butter.
- 600g sugar in 640 ML water.
- Some strands of saffron and cardamom.
Instructions:
- Add 100–120 ml (approx. ¾ cup) water/ milk in
parts to the gulab jamun mix. Knead gently
into a soft and smooth dough.
Cup size: 150 ml.
- Apply ghee or oil on both palms and then shape 40
round and smooth jamuns without crack on the surface.
- Deep fry in ghee or oil on medium to low heat until
golden brown. Drain excess oil and soak the jamuns in
hot sugar syrup for 30 minutes. Garnish gulab jamuns
with chopped almonds and saffron.
