Amritsar-Style Dahi Bhalla

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup urad dal.
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped.
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated.
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda, Salt to taste.
  • 2 cups plain yogurt.
  • 1 tsp Swaaditi Dilchasp Chat Masala.
  • 1/2 tsp Swaaditi Kashmiri Chilli Powder.
  • 1/2 tsp Swaaditi Pink Salt.

Instructions:


  1. Soak urad dal for 4-5 hours, then grind it into a smooth batter with green chillies, ginger, salt, and baking soda.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, drop spoonful of batter and fry until it becomes golden.
  3. Soak fried bhallas in water for 20-30 minutes, then gently squeeze out excess water.
  4. Mix the yogurt with water to make a smooth mixture and salt to taste.
  5. Arrange squeezed bhallas in a serving dish, pour yogurt over them.
  6. Sprinkle Swaaditi Dilchasp Chat Masala & Kashmiri Chilli Powder on top.
  7. Drizzle tamarind chutney and garnish with coriander leaves.
